3.5 days straight. on the last day, I fell asleep for 5 minutes exactly, hallucinated pretty bad upon waking, and had spasmed uncontrollably. (I believe the proper term is had a seizure)

It was fairly trippy and I haven't had insomnia that bad in a long time, but an interesting note:

A heroin addict friend of mine was up 2 to 3 weeks straight due to a heroin withdraw.

The longest i ever went with no sleep at all came to nearly 4 days, did hallucinate on last day. I find one or two hours per day keep away the hallucinations, but body prefers at least 3 hours per day. I'm sure my experience is mine, and others differ, as may well yours.

well I guess then we shouldn't complain:p

hallunications from lack of sleep are pretty bad,I wish they didn't occur so often.

i have gone almost a week but i am a bit fuzzy about the details as it all got a bit strange and I also hallucinated pretty bad and turned into a bit of a monster to be around, not pleasant and as close to a straight jacket i have come yet

That and one of the side effects of a heroin withdrawal is insomnia to the point of hospitalization. In order to fix it they have to stop your heart by pumping it with adrenalin, then THEORETICALLY your heart reboots and starts pumping again at a normal rate, allowing you to sleep again -_-

That said, you wanna beat the record, become a heroin addict. (please don't -_-)

The longest for me is erm...2 and a half days? I'm not really sure because I don't count the days when I'm still awake.
All I did was read books, doodled and painted some stuff. And I had my very first hallucination and it was weird and kind of funny. When I realized I was hallucinating, I know I had to sleep...I tried.
