Things I have found usefull for sleeping:
Drink Ovalteen at night ,Eat salty foods at night,Plants in your room,Blow nose out at night,Comfortable sleeping clothes,Comfortable sleeping enviornment,Warm shower,Keep clean,Ballance salt and potassium,Pray to God, Ear-Plugs,Eye shades,No stimulation at nightime, No working out too late, Dont work out for 4 hours at a time- you get endorphins every time you work out so 4 hours worth of endorphins in you and you'll be up all night, Drink Milk at night- or any dairy products, *Dont take sleeping pills ive tried em all and you just become a zombie on them*,wake up at the same time every day,get plenty of sunlight, to increase natural mellatonin levels turn off lights towards the night, Open window at night, Meditation, Plenty of sex if your a guy- you tend not to sleep well when u dont have sex,*Dont stay in the house all day-some people need to be around other people and interact with people in order to sleep well, make a sleep log of how much u slept. (I use to sleep 2 days out of 7) (now I sleep 5 days out of 7)

This may be the cure for insomnia

I have had severe insomnia in the past, I saw a phycologist and she made me realize something very important: The whole point is to get out there and be normal, To be normal which is what everyone here wants, you have to think normal, A normal person ither goes to school or work, choose one and go everyday, sleep or no sleep, this will be hard at first but I swear this cured my insomnia, and you must absolutley must set your alarm clock for 7:00am and wake up everyday at the same time, everyone ne… Continue

Melatonin

The doctors reccomended I take melatonin to sleep better. I use to take melatonin in the past and thought it was just a placebo. What I was using was in the 2-3 mg range, The doctors told me that 2-3mg is meant for children, They said try 10-12 mg of melatonin.I slept great after using the 10 range, they make a great kind of melatonin that looks like a mint and you let it sit under your tongue to absorb faster in your bloodstream, if you try it use it towards the night.

The source of my insomnia

Well today I got the phonecall i've been waiting for. I got my MRI head scan resluts today. They said I have a Brain tumor, but its not cancerous type, and its not that big in size. Also they said I have some blood nerves in my head that are messed up and their going to re-evaluate them. I might loose my hair in the process or all my hair, They said if the nerves are bad they will have to zap them. The good news is that this may be the cause of my insomnia. I was never able to sleep on my head fa… Continue

Oh I definitely tapered off of the melatonin slowly, but I'm glad it is working for you! I wonder if the vivid dreams has something to do with insomnia as well. I have started getting them more frequently again(, and I'm not taking melatonin. I can control parts of them, but usually I lose control and they just spin off into nightmarish scenes. It always makes me so tired like I haven't slept at all, and my heart always hurts. If you know a way to control the dreams better, I would be more than happy to hear from you.

Oh...it's really cold these days...which I think doesn't sound like California at all... But yeah...I guess it depends where you are around here you can get the Californian vibe....How do you like it there?
